Chicago Bulls Hand Mac McClung a Second 10-Day Contract – bleachernation.com

The Chicago Bulls have reportedly given Mac McClung a second 10-day contract.

The rookie viral sensation first joined the team on a hardship exemption on December 21st. Going undrafted this summer, McClung appeared in 13 games for the Los Angeles Lakers’ G-League affiliate before getting the call from the Bulls’ front office. He has since appeared in only one game for Chicago, where he scored his first official NBA bucket in garbage time against the Atlanta Hawks.

This is the second time this season the Bulls have given a hardship player a second 10-day deal. The first to receive an additional contract was Alfonzo McKinnie, who the team eventually handed a full-time roster spot by waiving Alize Johnson. McClung experiencing the same fate feels unlikely, as the Bulls are probably keeping him in town due to the fact that players McKinnie, Bradley, and Marko Simonovic still remain in the NBA’s Health and Safety Protocols.

But, hey, at least McClung might get a few more chances to show the league what he’s got!
